Cocktails and Cuisine to Benefit Victims of Boston Marathon

The Meat Market is rolling out their Summer Dinner Series - an array of cocktail and wine dinners that have been sold out affairs since first launched in 2011. To kick things off, Executive Chef/Coowner Sean Brasel has teamed up with award-winning mixologist Ezra Pattek to host a special Culinary & Cocktail Dinner on Wednesday, May 22nd, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the victims of the Boston Marathon Tragedy. Grovetoberfest

Grovetoberfest is back on October 13th and it's bigger and better than ever (didn't think that was even possible!) The star of the festival is beer. Not just any beer, but great beer. They're assembling a selection of beer from across the U.S. and the world. To add to the fun: top chefs from Miami will staff the Milam's Kitchen Lab to help visitors learn more about food and beer through cooking demos, food and beer pairing suggestions, recipes including beer and one-on-one Q&A sessions. Mancini Modern Italian's Mozzarella Making Maneuvers

Mancini Modern Italian, located at 401 E. Las Olas Blvd, #150 in Las Olas, is offering hands-on mozzarella making experiences every Wednesday starting at 6:30 pm every Wednesday for $30. Executive Chef Claudio Sandri will teach patrons how to transform curds into creamy half poound mozzarella balls. As the fun unfolds, guests will enjoy a complimentary flute of Prosecco, a glass of red or white wine and an antipasto sampling. So that the cheese doesn't stand alone, the fresh Mozzarella will be served with a balsamic jam, thick slices of vine ripened heirloom tomatoes and ciabatta bread.
