Brio at Dolphin Mall

If you've been to the Dolphin Mall lately (and I'm sure you have with Christmas around the corner), you've probably noticed it's gone through some pretty impressive changes. For one, there is a new parking garage that fits thousands of more cars, (thank God because parking was a nightmare) and there are several popular restaurants that have taken residency at the mall. One of my favorite is the Italian staple, BRIO Tuscan Grille, located at the main entrance on level 1 next to the parking garage.

True to its usual decor, BRIO offers a casual yet trendy feel in the west part of town, with a Miami/Italian vibe. It has both outdoor and indoor seating, with a separate area for special events (think office holiday luncheon y'all). Featuring its fresh, high quality ingredients and an interesting menu, it is the perfect spot for a date night, or to conclude a day of shopping. We went out there recently to check out the place and were very happy with the service, ambiance, and usual good food.

Before I parade our dishes for you, I have to encourage you to try a couple of their cocktails when you stop by.  If you're in the mood for some drinks and conversation at the bar, they have an amazing Bar Menu with prices to match. Think Beef Carpaccio for $3.95 and the Brio Burger for $5.95. Times and days vary so check before you go.

One of my must-haves whenever I go to BRIO is their Beef Carpaccio. The presentation is beautiful and it is always so fresh and delicious. Prepared with thinly sliced, highly quality beef, it is a flavor explosion of capers, field greens, mustard aiolis and parmesan cheese. The Roasted Garlic, Spinach and Artichoke Dip is a tasty starter too, served warm with parmesan flatbread. One more I have to suggest is the Spicy Shrimp and Eggplant, consisting of tender shrimp sitting atop of romano crusted eggplant in a pool of spicy black pepper cream sauce. Delicious...

We decided on the mouthwatering Lamb Chops and the Chicken Piccata, and both entrees were served with a Caesar Salad. The lamb chops were spectacular, grilled to perfection and flavorful to the bone. The chicken prepared traditional piccata style was served with lemon, capers, roasted vegetables and angel hair pasta.

Dessert at BRIO consists of a variety of sweets to choose from.  From the Cheesecake to the Tiramisu, you can't go wrong, so be sure to leave some space.
