SPRUNG! Beer Festival was a beer enthusiast's dream, bringing brews around the nation and local favorites together in one place.
Back for its 8th year in a row, Sprung brought some craft life to The Wynwood Marketplace from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm, as over 100+ breweries served more than 15 million ounces of free beer. Yes, you read it right: 15 million ounces of free beer. Priced from $45 for a General Admission ticket to $95 for VIP, the place was packed and everybody was happy sipping to their heart's content, eating from Miami's best food trucks and watching some wrestling action. Brawls, brews and bites.... what else can anyone want on a Saturday afternoon?
I know the hours flew for me while I tickled my taste buds with sips from local breweries like Angry Chair, MIA and 3 Sons Brewing, and I popped my national cherry with some memorable ones like Captain Lawrence and Stone Brewing. I gotta tell you that I absolutely loved the Pink Fluff from Southern Prohibition. Had to keep coming back for that one.
Over at the VIP tent, we were listening to some kickass music from local DJ's and satisfying the hunger between beer samplings with delicious Fried Rice and Honey Chicken from China Box. We also couldn't get enough of the Tequenos and Arepas from Doggi's. Those were our favorite two food stands for sure. 
Just being at Sprung and enjoying the beer was awesome, but doing it VIP is the way to go. Early entrance, a large lounging area in the A/C, nice restrooms, free food, great music, your own beer to sample, and some cool Sprung! merchandise takes the whole experience to a new level. If you can splurge for the VIP tickets next year, they are well worth it.
