Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten Hosts Third Annual Ping Pong, Pizzas & Peroni
The Miami Beach EDITION will once again take part in the annual eating and drinking extravaganza known as the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. On deck this year are popular events including Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best featuring the talents of the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef Luis Vasquez, Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s signature brunch at Matador Room with a vegetarian twist, as well as a special lobby pop-up with Zacapa Rum.
Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will also be back to host the third annual Ping Pong, Pizzas & Peroni event at Market. The ever-popular unofficial SOBEWFF event will feature specialty wood-fired pizzas, such as Black Truffle, Spicy Chorizo and Fresh Mozzarella & Basil, in addition to other signature Market items, including fresh oysters from the Raw Bar, charcuterie and Market’s infamous desserts at the Pastry Pod. Peroni beers and Negroni cocktails will flow throughout the late night event, while those with enough paddle skills will have the opportunity to challenge Jean-Georges himself and some of his famous chef friends to a classic game of Ping Pong, before heading to Basement Bowl for the official after party.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22
An award-winning premium rum, Ron Zacapa 23 Centenario Rum is crafted in Guatemala and aged to perfection in the highlands of Quetzaltenango, where the rum develops its complex flavor and character 2,300m above sea level. Zacapa will be taking over the Lobby Bar and pouring neat tastings for guests to sample as well as complimentary ZaCoco cocktails.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23

Back for round three, Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will host the 3rd annual Ping Pong, Pizzas & Peroni late night event on Friday, February 23 from 10pm to Midnight. Guests will enjoy a vast Italian spread of Market's favorites to be washed down with Peroni beer, Negroni cocktails and a chance to take on the master himself in a round of ping pong.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25
Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will host a vegetable-centric Saturday brunch at his glamourous, historic and reinvented Matador Room at the lavish Edition Hotel, where classic cuisine gets a modern twist, upgraded for a new generation. Working with more light broths, fruit essences, vegetable juices and herbal vinaigrettes, Vongerichten will create a luxurious menu to pair with selections from a refreshing and vibrant portfolio of wines specially for the Festival brunch.
