Red the Steakhouse and Miami Spice - A Marriage of the Senses

Chef Peter Vauthy does it again. Every year he takes Miami Spice to a new level and 2018 is no different. Foodies from all around are making their must-eat-at lists for the months of August and September and I bet you that Red is on there more than once.

How is that possible you ask? I'll tell you. Chef Vauthy doesn't just prepare one menu for the entire Miami Spice promotion. He creates four and he rotates them every week. That means you can come back over and over again and pretty much eat your way through the menu without repeating.

Another great thing about his menu, is that there are some additional options you can select from, for a nominal fee. You're still paying a lot less for excellent dishes even if you decide to deviate a bit from the included items.

So what are these menus you ask? Well, you have the "Classic Steakhouse Menu" with favorites such as his Steak Tartar and Certified Angus Beef Petite Filet Mignon. You can also try some insanely delicious Oyster Rockefeller for only $6 more and I can tell you from personal experience that you won't regret you did.

Come back to Red the following week and you will entice your palate with his "Seafood Menu". This one includes a mind-blowing Yellowfin Tuna Crudo, King Crab Cakes and Mussels Diavolo to start off your meal. The second course keeps you happy with Flounder Stuffed with Crab and Scampi Style Shrimp. In the mood for some land and sea? For only $19 more, you can have a foodgasmic Surf and Turf featuring a 5oz C.A.B. Filet and a 4oz Maine Lobster Tail.

It's really not complete without an Italian in the mix so Chef Vauthy makes sure we have one. Week 3 features the "Italian Menu" with his delizioso veal and beef Meatball, Shrimp Alfredo and their World Famous Chicken Parmesan, a credit they've earned because it is so damn good.

Finally, in case you haven't had enough Red, Week 4 offers "Red's Greatest Hits" with staples like their Kobe Beef Empanadas, incredible salads, Lobster Fra Diavolo, and Banana Chocolate Bread Pudding.
